The double room was lovely and clean, with coffee, a hair dryer, and tea/coffee. The bathroom was lovely, it was nice to have a bathtub.

We enjoyed our stay in the cozy double room with a separate private bathroom and found the amenities such as coffee, a hair dryer, and an iron to be very useful.

The location it offers is absolutely perfect, very close to the national library and an alley. The double room is cosy and clean.

The hotel had convenient location not far from the whole city center, central Edinburgh and tourist spots and train station.

I had warm and cosy double room. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and enjoyed my clean bathroom. The location of the hotel was very central, very close to central Edinburgh for £150/night on a Fringe bank holiday weekend, the whole city center and Old Town.

We booked a double room with a bath and separate private bathroom and it met our expectations.

I truly enjoyed my stay at this place and had a great 3-night visit, the rooms were wonderful and comfortable, with a nice bathtub, and I found myself frequently at an Irish bar nearby.

Really lovely overall experience. Excellent and fantastic location in the heart of the city, and only about 5 minutes' walk to Edinburgh centre. For tea or coffee visit Florentine nearby. Plenty of goodies for breakfast.

The staff here are really friendly and the location is in a great spot in the old town, close to everything. The rooms are cozy and clean, each with their own private bathroom and some even have a bath.

Everything was fine, HELPFUL stuff, incredible location adjacent to the center and National museum. The room itself was cosy and lovely with a bath as advertised.

I had 1 night in Edinburgh, spending the time here lovely. I asked for a double room and it was cozy with a separate private bathroom. The extra touches like coffee/tea making equipment and free tea were a treat. The staff were courteous.

The location was fantastic, right in the town center! We could walk everywhere and there were great places to eat and drink right on our doorstep. The room was cozy and clean, with a comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and quick to respond to our questions. The small personal touches like tea, coffee, biscuits, and guest info made it feel even more comfortable and special.

The location of Residence - No 8 is absolutely amazing! It is right in the city center, making it very convenient to explore all that Edinburgh has to offer. The room was well-fitted and had everything we needed, including a wall plug adapter. Despite being located next to a noisy pub, we were pleasantly surprised that the noise didn't bother us at all. The security entry system and multiple locked doors gave us a great sense of safety. if you're looking for a comfortable place to crash after a day of exploring, Residence - No 8 is perfect.

Though not a major issue, some of the floor boards felt a little weak, which was slightly concerning. Additionally, there were thin walls between rooms, but luckily, all the other guests were considerate and we didn't experience any disturbances.
